Density: The density of fiber composite bars is between 1.9-2.1g/cm ³ , which is only 1/4 of that of steel bars. 2. Thermal expansion coefficient: The longitudinal and lateral thermal expansion coefficients of fiber-reinforced composite bars are different, mainly depending on the type of fiber, resin and fiber volume ratio. The longitudinal coefficient of thermal expansion is affected by the fiber properties, while the transverse coefficient is mainly affected by the resin.
